This is a full metal model of the analog "2100" series developed inheriting the concept of G-SHOCK's first model "DW-5000C". By using stainless steel for the screw back case, bezel, and band, we aimed for a simple design that eliminates waste while having a shock-resistant structure that protects the module from impact when dropped. It also inherits the octagonal bezel shape and band dimple design that were also used in the DW-5000C, which was released in 1983. The GM-B2100AD-5A uses a gorgeous copper-colored vapor-deposited dial, and the GM-B2100SD-1A has a black dial with silver indexes and hour and minute hands, making it a highly legible dial. A slim, high-performance module is installed using high-density mounting technology, resulting in a thinner product. We also paid special attention to comfort. The stainless steel bezel is formed into a three-dimensional shape through a time-consuming process of forging, cutting, and polishing, with a circular hairline on the top and mirror polishing on the slope for a beautiful finish. By implementing a fine resin cushioning material between the bezel and the case, we have achieved a shock-resistant structure with a metal exterior. The dial is delicately shaped using Casio's Yamagata factory's microfabrication technology, and is finished with a high-quality texture through vapor deposition. The thin and highly functional digital/analog combination module connects to a dedicated app via Bluetooth® communication, acquires time information, and keeps accurate time. It also has practical features such as tough solar power and high-brightness double LED lights.
