Sori Yanagi is known as a pioneering industrial designer, whose works are permanently preserved in places such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Louvre Museum. The product line, which extends the ``Yanagi-style design'' to include kitchen tools and cutlery, has received high praise not only for its design beauty but also for its functionality.
The punching strainer is synonymous with kitchenware designed by Sori Yanagi. The advantage of punching strainers is that they are less likely to clog than those made of mesh and are easier to clean, but this product also has the great feature of being seamlessly molded. With regular products, food particles can get caught in the edges, but with one-piece molding, this doesn't happen. Coupled with its unique form, it is a gem that you will want to use forever. About the manufacturer
Sori Yanagi is a master Japanese industrial designer. His works range from the Olympic cauldron to furniture, tableware, and cutlery. In 1952, Yanagi Kogyo Design Study Group was established. Since then, we have consistently pursued "ease of use." His thoughts were influenced in no small part by his father, Soetsu Yanagi, who was a central figure in the Japanese folk art movement. The handle of a pot, the curve of a kitchen tool. Each of these is created while actually verifying its usability using three-dimensional models. Extravagance has been stripped down to the point of stoicism, leaving only something refined in form, ease of use, and beauty.
Modern design from Japan and around the world. Herein lies the beauty of using it.
