Plant oil cast iron cookware, although the most difficult to maintain in the cast iron cookware family, is also the most enjoyable. Before use, it needs to be pre seasoned; in the early stages of use, cook food rich in oil as much as possible, avoid cooking starchy food, after a period of 'seasoning', you can cook freely, the pan will become more and more seasoned with long term use, and if well maintained, it can outperform non stick pans, making cooking easy.
1. Firstly, wash the pot clean with warm water and a soft brush, do not use steel wool tools for the initial cleaning. After cleaning, immediately carry out pre seasoning, otherwise it may rusting.
2. Place the clean pot on a heat source to dry, prepare some fatty pork with skin, put the fatty meat into the pan, adjust to low heat, then use the fatty meat to rub the pan, making sure to cover every inch, until the fat is dried out, then remove it.
3. Pour out the remaining oil, rinse the pan with hot water, repeat the second step three to four times, finally wash the pot clean and place it on the fire to dry, drip two drops of plant oil, low heat to dry. (Fat oil can also be replaced with plant oil)
The pre seasoning is now complete, this method can be used to maintain cast iron pots that have been used extensively and become rough, love and care for them well, and cast iron pots can last for 20 years or even longer.
During use, please pay special attention to:
1. If there are black crumbs falling off during the initial cleaning and use, it is just carbonized plant oil layer, without harmful substances, so no need to worry.
