Canon EF-S mount has an angle of view approximately 1.6 times larger due to the light receiving sensor. The EF mount is 35mm full size and is the same size. In the case of EF mount, the large lens at the rear of the lens and the protruding lens at the rear may create a buffer with the mirror. In the case of the EF mount, the aperture pin protection pin at the rear of the lens may scratch the inside of the mount, or may not be able to be attached. With the EF-S mount, all lenses can be used without interference from the rear lens element or aperture pin protection pin.
