[Material] Body: Hinoki (Japanese cypress), Side Coating: Silicone Coating [Made in Japan] [Wood]
[Features] - The board's depth allows you to move cut ingredients around the board and chop multiple ingredients at once. - The straight edge at the front aligns with the edge of the cooking area, allowing for efficient use of kitchen space. - This 2cm thick hinoki cutting board provides a stable and moderate thickness. - The sides, which are prone to water penetration and staining, are coated with silicone to prevent water penetration, speed up drying, and prevent staining.
[Care] - After use, rinse off any dirt promptly, wipe off any water thoroughly, and allow to dry thoroughly before storing. Leaving the board wet can lead to mold. - Using hot water when first washing the board will cause any fish or meat proteins remaining on the board to harden, making it more likely to retain odors. - When cleaning, use a soft sponge or natural scrubbing brush with dish soap. Using a metal scrubber or similar tool may cause scratches. Bleach may react with the wood and cause black or brown stains. Always dilute kitchen bleach according to the instructions. Test in an inconspicuous area before use. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning to remove any residue. Do not use foam-type bleach.
[Usage Precautions] ・Do not use for purposes other than intended. ・Lightly wetting the board with water before use will help prevent food stains and odors from absorbing. ・When storing the cutting board, be sure to wipe it dry thoroughly. ・Do not dry in direct sunlight or at high temperatures, such as in a dishwasher. This may cause cracking. ・The sides are coated to prevent darkening, but this does not completely prevent it. The effectiveness of the coating may weaken with use. ・Hinoki wood contains a high resin content, which may come to the surface when stored or in hot conditions, causing stains or stickiness. It is not harmful to the body. Wipe it off with alcohol.
