This 1/72 scale plastic assembly kit recreates the mid-production version of the Ausf. J, the final production version of the Panzer IV, known as Germany's war horse, produced between August and September 1944.
The Ausf. J's rugged, powerful form is realistically reproduced, complete with schuerzen around the sides of the hull and turret.
The overall length is approximately 75mm, and the width is approximately 40mm.
Not only the hull shape, but even the finest details have been sharply recreated.
The exhaust pipe at the rear of the hull is recreated with a flame-extinguishing muffler, and the schuerzen's support brackets are also recreated.
In addition, the lower hull, created using a slide mold, accurately reproduces the bolts and rivets on the underside and sides.
The upper hull is a single part, with the engine deck also reproduced in realistic detail.
In addition, the return rollers and one-piece tracks are recreated as single parts, making assembly easy.
