The current Jimny's color variation is now available in the XC grade Chiffon Ivory Metallic!
This product is a 1/24 scale kit that requires assembly.
No painting required: Each part is molded in its own color, giving the body a glossy finish not achievable with paint.
No gluing required: The parts fit together easily for easy assembly.
The JB64 is the current model, the fourth-generation Jimny, which debuted in 2018.
Different from the curved appearance of the previous JB23, this model features a square body reminiscent of the previous and second-generation Jimnys.
Mechanical features such as a ladder frame and rigid axle suspension are inherited from the previous model, providing excellent off-road performance and improved on-road performance.
There are three grades available: XC, XL, and XG. Multiple monotone colors are available, with the XC being the only model that comes with a two-tone black top.
This product is based on the JB64W-1 XC grade model, released in 2018.
The XC grade features exclusive aluminum wheels and mirrors with turn signals.
The 1/24 scale size allows for accurate reproduction of detailed sculpting.
The body is molded using a special molding material to achieve a level of gloss that is difficult to achieve with paint.
The molding colors are available in seven colors: ivory, black, silver, gunmetal, clear smoke, clear, and clear red.
Even with straight assembly, the colored parts create a painted appearance, and the part division significantly reduces masking work when painting.
The body is crafted using a slide mold, creating a box-shaped design that accurately reproduces the square style.
The hood, rear, roof, and other parts are layered and fitted onto the body parts, a standard feature of the NEXT series.
Concave moldings on the door panels and other features are expressed with a distinct depth that allows for easy painting and shading.
The undercarriage features a ladder frame as a separate part, allowing additional parts to be attached.
The leading and trailing arms, front and rear differential gear cases, and driveshafts are recreated as separate parts.
The suspension shape is based on that of a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The headlights feature LED lighting, a design exclusive to the XC, and are recreated as special parts.
(The headlight washers are not depicted due to mold limitations.)
The side mirrors recreate the XC-specific design with built-in turn signals.
The driver's and passenger's windows feature separate glass and frame, eliminating the need for stickers or masking during painting.
The rear window (side/rear) is custom molded in a smoked color to create a distinct color contrast with the front.
The wiper arms and blades are molded with delicate detail for a realistic look, and the concave shape of the blade surface is also precisely sculpted.
The steering wheel and instrument panel are custom parts that recreate the distinctive features of the XC.
The seat is a two-piece structure that recreates the shape of both the seat and back, and the rear seat headrests are recreated in the lowered position.
The XC grade features aluminum wheels molded in a gunmetal color for a realistic look.
The tires are molded from rubber resin using a special (new) mold, and include 175/80R16 on-road tires.
The included stickers recreate the detailed coloring and are pre-cut for easy application.
The stickers feature the meter panel, logo, and vehicle license plate.
The spare tire on the rear is made of the same rubber material as the four wheels.
The rear lights feature two-color light lenses made from layered clear red and clear molded-color parts.
The lights also feature intricately sculpted reflector curves and bulbs.
Dimensions upon completion are approximately 150mm long x 79mm wide x 78mm high.
