They were completed after a year of trial and error, with attention to detail including comfort, stretch, reinforced toes, waist tightness, and color. The holes in the soles are softly and flatly sewn to prevent discomfort, and the opening is adjusted to be just the right size for extending and retracting your toes. The toe area is made with a langert knit (mesh knit) to prevent runs and, even if a hole does appear, it will not expand. The seams at the toes are also kept as small as possible to prevent any roughness. We created tights without a crotch gusset in response to requests from ballet teachers who said, "The crotch gusset sticks out from under leotards and costumes."
