The cofactor vitamin C added to FBlock™ has been shown in studies to increase the effectiveness of chitosan by bulking up the fiber, as well as lipase, a natural proteolytic enzyme that promotes the breakdown of fat, and veggie cellulose, which binds with bile acids to physically release fat and lipids.
