Taper Tap Size: M9, Pitch: 1.25mm, Material: High Speed Steel (HSS).
Our hand taps are suitable for through holes and can be used with a tapping wrench to tap new internal threads or re-thread damaged or stuck threads. Standard coarse thread design.
Material of Machine Taper Tap: Taper tap is made of high hardness high speed steel. It is suitable for machine tool tapping, and can also be tapped by hand. Good red hardness and wear resistance. The cutter bit is not easy to break. It has fast tapping speed, high precision and good chip removal. Taper style: Initiates a thread on the workpiece.
Features: 3 rows of straight flutes, excellent chip removal effect, sharp teeth without burrs and high strength, the end is square handle style, convenient for firm clamping to the tool, round drill bit design. The small hole at the bottom allows the coolant to enter easily, achieving the purpose of cooling the tapered tap. With the straight flute tool, the chips will collect in the flutes when cutting. Designed for hand cutting applications of plastic, copper, brass, aluminum, sheet metal and other materials.
Easy to use: When tapping, rotate the twister 1/2 or 1 revolution and reverse about 1/2 revolution to make it easier for the chips to be discharged after crushing. This avoids the clogging of the taper tap caused by the cutting edge. During this process, it is recommended to add coolant at the same time. Do not touch the cutting edge directly with your hands to avoid scratches.
Why choose our hand taper taps? Use high speed steel material with high hardness, good red hardness and wear resistance. It is one of the best materials for making faucets. The tip flute is designed to prevent the tap from overheating, which will easily break the drill bit when processing the internal threads. The parts are square shank, which is convenient for firm clamping on machine tools and fixtures. Our taps are ideal for processing through-hole internal threads.
How to distinguish between taper tap and bottom tap? Taper tap: Starts tapping a square thread on the workpiece. Mainly used for internal thread machining of through holes Bottom tap: Produces a thread at the bottom of the hole. Mainly used for internal thread machining of blind holes. Please note that when machining blind holes, the reserved hole depth is 1.5 pitches more than the required thread depth.
How to use it rationally? (1) When tapping, insert the tap head first to make the center line of the tap coincide with the center line of the drill hole. (2) Rotate evenly with both hands and apply a little pressure to put the thread tap into the hole. There is no need to apply pressure later. (3) Every time you turn the tap, reverse it about 45° to cut off the cutting chips and prevent clogging. (4) If the tap is difficult to turn, do not increase the turning force, or the tap will be damaged.
