NOKTON 40mm F1.2 Aspherical is a large-diameter manual focus lens exclusively for Nikon Z mount. It covers a full-size image circle and the optical design is optimized for Nikon Z system camera image sensors.
This lens is equipped with electronic contacts to enable electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of a telecommunications-compatible body and the latest firmware supports Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3 axes), and three types of focusing support functions (focusing by changing the color of the focus point frame, focusing by the peaking function, and focusing by the magnification button).
The lens construction uses 8 elements in 6 groups, with two aspherical lenses on both sides. Despite its compact size, it achieves an amazingly large aperture of F1.2 as a full-size 40mm lens. You can enjoy optical performance that can be used with confidence even from the widest aperture, and smooth and large bokeh. The angle of view with a focal length of 40mm is equivalent to 60mm on an APS-C size camera, so it is highly versatile and can be used as a standard lens for both full-frame and APS-C size cameras. A dedicated straight type screw-in hood made entirely of metal is included.
