Product Name: Tire pressure reset instrument Applicable models: General system
Tire pressure monitoring (TPM) system through the instrument panel combination instrument (IPC) and body control module
(BCM), 4 radio frequencies transmit pressure sensors and serial data circuits, and perform the function of reading the tire pressure monitoring system. After each tire replacement, body control module replacement, or sensor replacement, the sensor must be executed and read into the program. Once the re -read mode is enabled, the recognition code of each sensor will be read into the body control module memory. When reading a sensor recognition code, the body control module makes the horn emitting the sound indicator that the sensor has sent the recognition code and the body control module has been received and reads. The body control module must read the sensor recognition code in the correct order to determine the correct sensor position. The first recognition code reads is allocated to the left front position, the second is allocated to the right front position, the third is allocated to the right rear position, and the fourth is allocated to the left rear position. The steering signal light will light up to indicate the correct order of the reading position, respectively.
Use EL-50448 or the same tool to diagnose the sensor function
Each sensor has a low -frequency coil inside. When the tire pressure monitoring is used to enable the mode, a low -frequency transmission signal that starts the sensor will be generated. In the reading mode, the sensor responds to the low -frequency start through the transmission signal. When the tire pressure monitor is read in mode, when the body control module receives a read mode transmission signal, the sensor recognition code is allocated to the location of the vehicle position corresponding to the reading order.
Sensor function-how to use pressure increase/decrease method
In the static mode, each sensor performs pressure measurement samples every 30 seconds. If the tire pressure increases or decreases by more than 8.3 kilowatt (1.2 pounds/square inch) compared with the last measurement value, it will be immediately re -measured to confirm the air pressure change value. If the air pressure does change, the sensor is transmitted in the mode of reading. When the tire pressure monitor is read in mode, when the body control module receives a read mode transmission signal, the sensor recognition code is allocated to the position corresponding to the vehicle and its reading order.
Cancel of re -reading mode
If the ignition switch is converted to the OFF position, or if no sensor is not read in more than 2 minutes, the re -reading mode will be canceled. If the re -reading mode is canceled before reading the first sensor, the original sensor recognition code will be retained. If you cancel the re -reading mode after reading the first sensor, the following situation will occur:
• All stored sensor recognition codes will be invalid in the body control module memory.
The driver's information center will display the fracture instead of the tire pressure.
The DTCC0775 will be set.
At this time, these situations will need to be re -read into the program to make the system work normally.
Tire pressure monitoring re -read into the program
Note: If you use a fault diagnostic instrument to enable the re -reading mode, you must use the tire pressure monitoring tool to start the sensor. When using this preferred method, any other error sensor signal will not affect the re -reading program. If a special sensor information is displayed on the special tool when starting, but the speaker does not make a snoring sound. This situation is because the sensor signal is blocked by another component, just turn the wheel valve core to different positions.
If you use the driver's information center button to start the re -reading mode, you may need to use the tire pressure monitoring tool or the method of increased/reduced pressure. Before using this method to execute the program, ensure that no other reading program is performed at the same time, or vehicles without other tire pressure monitoring systems nearby are performing tire pressure adjustment. Other vehicles that are monitored by the tire pressure monitoring of the tire pressure may send a messy signal and be read mistakenly. When performing the reading program, if you hear a horn in any horn in the vehicle, it is likely to be a sensor that reads the error. You need to cancel the program and re -operate. In this case, it is strongly recommended to stay away from other vehicles to perform tire pressure monitoring monitoring and re -read the program. If a specific sensor starts to make a snoring sound, this situation may be because the sensor signal is blocked by another component, just turn the wheel valve rod to different positions.
The preferred fault diagnostic device is read again and enabled
1. Step on the parking brake (only manual transmission).
2. Place the ignition switch at the ON position. Use the fault diagnostic device to start the "Tire Pressure Sensors Learn (Reading Tire Ventures Sensor)" mode. The left front signal will also light up.
3. Start with the left front tire, so that the antenna of the tire pressure monitoring tool is facing up, and hold the tire side wall near the rotation near the valve core. Press and release the start button and wait for the horn to make a snoring sound. Once the horn sounds, the sensor information is read, and the steering signal light of the next position to be read will be lit.
4. After the horn sounds, and the right forward turns to the signal light, the remaining 3 sensors are repeated in step 3:
4.1
4.2 Right behind
4.3 left behind
5. When the sensor has been read in and the speaker also makes twice, the reading process is completed and the body control module also exit the re -read mode.
6. Place the ignition switch at the OFF position and adjust the pressure of all tires to the recommended value. See "Label Certificate of Vehicle, Tire Tags, Anti -theft and Maintenance Parts Recognition Number".
The alternative driver information center re -reads the enable method
1. Step on the parking brake (only manual transmission).
2. Place the ignition switch to the ON position and use the driver information center (DIC) to display the control start and re -read mode. The horn emitted two sobs indicating that the re -reading mode has been enabled and turned to the left front signal.
3. Starting from the left front wheel, use the following method to start the tire pressure sensor:
The antenna of the tire pressure monitoring tool is facing up, and the side wall of the tire near the rotation near the valve core is held. Press and release the start button and wait for the horn to make a snoring sound. Once the horn sounds, the sensor information is read, and the steering signal light of the next position to be read will be lit.
Warning: Tire inflation is too full to cause personal damage or damage tires and wheels. When adding tire gas pressure, do not exceed the maximum inflatable pressure marked by the tire side wall.
• Add/reduce tire gas pressure 8–10? After 8–10? After the time when the tire pressure increases/decrease, the horn may be insufficient or last for 30 seconds. Once the horn sounds, the sensor information is read, and the steering signal light of the next position to be read will be lit.
4. After the horn sounds, after the right forward turns to the signal light, the remaining 3 sensors are repeated in the following order? 3:
