The first installment of the ``Ano Koro Movie Soundtrack Series,'' where you can enjoy the works released in Shochiku's masterpiece movie DVD series ``Ano Koro Movie'' on CD from precious music master tapes. ``Sand Vessel'' is celebrating its 40th anniversary since its release! The original work by Matsumoto Seicho was written by Shinobu Hashimoto and Yoji Yamada, directed by Yoshitaro Nomura, and starring an all-star cast including Tsuyoshi Kato, Yoko Shimada, Tetsuro Tanba, and Kensaku Morita. Since its release in 1974, this evergreen work has been re-screened many times, digitally remastered, and released on DVD. A symphony composed by Yasushi Akutagawa's music director and Mitsusuke Kanno will be recorded from the original master tape for the film, in the order in which they were used in the film. "Original Soundtrack" released by Polydor in 1975 after the release of ``Sand Vessel'' and ``Suite ``Fate'' for Piano and Orchestra'' have been made into CDs several times, but the former is a so-called drama version record that mainly contains the audio and narration of the movie, and the latter suite is a new sound source recorded for the record.This CD, released in 2014, which marks the 40th anniversary of the release, is the first time that the entirety of the real music used in the movie, including the suite ``Fate'' that shook many fans, will be released to the public!
