The first-generation Toyota Celica, released in 1970, was Japan's first specialty car.
The Celica Liftback, added in 1973, featured a large tailgate that could be used to carry leisure equipment when the rear seatbacks were folded down. Its popularity as a GT car, ahead of the leisure boom of the time, made it synonymous with the Celica.
AUTO Art has realistically modeled the high-performance version, the Liftback 2000GT.
Its sporty style, with its Mustang-like rear view and long nose, has been accurately reproduced, as well as its distinctive rear combination lamps, custom 2.0-liter inline-4 DOHC engine with a maximum output of 145 horsepower, and interior with its five-meter gauge arrangement.
